How to stay fit at any age?
It is an all time truth that “Health is Wealth.” So everyone wants to stay fit and healthy as nothing is more precious than health, but it is always neglected due to our busy work schedule. With increasing age, our body’s metabolism begins to slow down. A proper diet and a little exercise are not always enough to keep our body fit. To make your body and mind fit for longer time, it is very important to adopt some good habits. Let’s know some tips to stay fit at any age.
- Early to bed, early to rise
Doctors or professional health experts always recommend a person to take sleep for 7-8 hours a day to maintain good health. Lack of sufficient sleep may put you at risk of obesity, overweight, cardiovascular disease, and countless other diseases. Every day you must try to go to bed around 9-10 pm and wake up at 5-6 am.
- Drink plenty of water
Water helps to clear away toxins from our body and keep us hydrated throughout the day. Doctors recommend that a normal person drink at least 3-4 litres of water per day. It is suggested to drink water several times even if you don’t feel thirsty. There are lots of benefits of taking enough water, such as maximizing physical performance, preventing headaches, relieve from constipation, preventing forming of kidney stones, preventing muscle cramps, etc.
- Take balanced diet
“Eat healthy, stay healthy” is a common proverb everyone uses. A doctor or nutritionist recommends to take healthy and balanced diet food. Always stay away from all junk foods. Try to skip the foods that contain high sugar, high fats, artificial foods, etc., and take fresh fruits and vegetables rich in high protein and high fibre. If possible, take proper suggestions from a nutritionist.
- Exercises and Yoga
Yoga or exercise is required to keep our body active throughout the day. It is recommended to do daily exercises for at least one hour. For a busy scheduled person, at least 15 minutes of daily exercise is mandatory. Aerobic exercises like running, cycling, etc., help a lot to improve cardiovascular function and prevent metabolism from slowing down.
